The Nile Valley University was established in 1990 in Atbara town in the River Nile state about 300 kilometers north of the capital Khartoum. The University was established on the basis of the Mechanical Engineering College (established in 197)1 and the Faculty of Education ( established in 1984).
Goals of the University
The Nile Valley University is working to achieve its mission through the following objectives:
Asserting and building the identity of the nation.
Preparation of a generation capable of learning and exploiting knowledge and techniques to serve the community and resolve issues related to the environment.
3. Interest in theoretical and practical-oriented scientific research relevant to the needs of the community.
Attention to issues of human, intellectual, cultural, social and economic development.
5. Achieving academic excellence and leadership in scientific research, according to international standards.
