The Vice Chancellor (VC) is the lead academic and administrative officer of Malawi Adventist University (MAU) that includes both Lakeview College and Malamulo College of Health Sciences. The VC is responsible for overall leadership and strategic direction of the entire institution. At MAU the VC energizes the University to forward the mission of Adventist Higher Education across Malawi and the global Adventist church community. The VC works closely with the University Council in visioning a preferred future for implementing world class academic programmes while integrating faith and learning. Additionally, the VC ensures strong University leadership in advancing scholarship and faculty development, while creating financial models for fiscal responsibility and sustainability. At MAU we are eagerly engaging students in campus leadership and across both campuses where are automating and developing advanced management and communication systems that foster and advance our core values. Our current VC affectionately called “Momma VC” is championing our growth and dynamic development. Professor Sharon Pittman is our current VC and is bring over two decades of both higher education and development leadership to MAU.
